Consecutive three-run innings carried the Runners to their Game 1 win. Miami got its only run in the top of the second when Hunter Hartman scored on a passed ball. Hartman had led off the inning with a double. Grove tied the game in the bottom of the second then went up 4-1 in the fourth and got a final three tallies in the fifth. The Wardogs had only two hits in the game off Grove’s Chat Hayes, who struck out 14 and walked two. Williams and Hunter Hartman each had a hit for Miami. The Ridgerunners got two hits each from Tyler Davis, Gentry and Zane Knox.
