Grove’s Michaela Werner and Deacon Kraft both finished in the top-10 at Claremore cross country meet on Thursday at Claremore High School.
Werner finished third behind Stilwell’s Sidney Lawrence and Owasso’s Haley Geissler in the girls 3200 meters. Lawrence’s winning time of 11:49 was 10 seconds ahead of Geissler, while Werner finished with a time of 12:07
Paige Stanphill finished 21st for Grove with a time of 13:47. Josie Eubanks (33rd), Bethany Hinman (50th) and Brianna Bauer (60th) rounded out the finishers for the Lady Ridgerunners, who finished eighth as a team.
Kraft finished sixth in the boys 5,000 meters in a time of 17:59 to lead the Ridgerunners to a third place team finish. Grove finished with 98 points, one behind second place Claremore.
Derek Pigsley and Jake Ingle finished 18th and 19, while Brendan Hankinson was 21st and Drew Brown 35th
