Grove soccer wins in overtime at Pryor

The Grove Ridgerunners got a golden goal from Wesley Swingle to defeat the Pryor Tigers 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night in a District 5A-3 game, snapping a five-game losing streak in the process.

Caisen Brown had the other goal for the Ridgerunners, who moved to 3-6 on the season.

The Lady Red lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Lady Tigers, as a Pryor penalty kick with less than a minute to play was the winner in a 2-1 game.

Morgan Wooten scored Grove’s only goal.

Grove soccer will host Tahlequah on Friday, with the girls’ game beginning at 5 p.m.
