Ryan Wheatley won the 400-meter dash for the second time this season, while Lily Jeffries won the pole vault for the first time at Friday’s meet in Collinsville.

Wheatley finished in 50.20 seconds, while Jeffries cleared 9-6 in winning their respective titles. Jeffries also finished third in the 100-meter dash.

Erin Swartz won the Lady Ridgerunners’ other medal with a sixth place finish in the 100-meter hurdles. The Grove girls had a limited team at Collinsville after competing at Vinita on Tuesday.

The Ridgerunners brought home eight medals from Collinsville, with John Tune finishing third in the pole vault and fourth in the long jump.

Will Clark added a fourth place finish in the shot put while Rocky Jeffries was second in the discus. Derek Pigsley (3200 meters) and Dominic Flores (discus) added sixth place finishes.

Grove track will compete at Girard, Kan. on Friday, their final meet before regionals at Tahlequah on May 4.
