VINITA – Grove’s Braleigh Bechtol set the school record in the pole vault yet again as the Lady Ridgerunners finished third as a team in a meet at Vinita on Tuesday.
Bechtol vaulted 11-1 on Tuesday, breaking her own record of 10-6 to win the title. Teammate Lily Jeffries was second in the event.
Emilee Iverson finished second in the high jump with a height of 5-2, while Erin Swartz was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles and Ashleigh Tramel was sixth in the 400 meters.
Grove also finished third in the 1600 relay, ending the day with 71 points.
Jay’s Ashley Wilkes was third in the 400 meters, while Colcord’s Emalee Copeland won the 300-meter hurdles, while also finishing third in the long jump and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.
The Lady Hornets also got fourth place finishes in the 400 and 1600 relays, finishing fifth as a team.
Vinita won the team title with 188 points, with Okmulgee second at 76 points.
