Grove baseball's undefeated start to the 2013 season came to a crashing halt at the hands of the Hume-Fogg, Tenn. on Monday, as the Knights downed the Ridgerunners 13-2 in the opener of the Aggie Classic on Monday.
The Knights scored three times in the first inning, getting a two-run double from starting pitcher Justin Dodson. Hume-Fogg would add two more runs in the bottom of the third for a 5-0 lead.
Hume-Fogg would then put the game way with six runs in the bottom of the inning. Robin Hood would finish the game with three RBIs for the Knights, while Carter Pitts drove in two.
Tesereau finished the day 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Grove will continue play in the tournament tomorrow when they take on Booker T. Washington of Pensacola, Fla. at 7 p.m.
