GRONOWSKI, LOW LARGE IN JACKSON LIB WIN

Jackson Liberty 10, Red Bank Regional 0 Jackson Liberty captain Leszek Gronowski suffered a lower body injury prior to the start of this 2015-16 campaign, and suffered through an opening night tilt with Middletown South, in which the senior notched the Lions lone goal of the game. Gronowski returned to action on Thursday and made a grand reentrance, delivering a hat trick and assisting on another as the Lions (3-2-2, 2-1-2) blanked the Bucs (1-3-0, 0-2-0), and as a result now sit atop the Class B North standings with six points in the division. Lions top line winger Joe Low had a five-point night with two goals and three helpers, and currently sits at 96 points for his career on 47 goals and 49 assists. Jackson Liberty freshman Nick Labianca had a four-point performance with the first two goals of his varsity career and a pair of assists, while Joey D’Andrea, Tyler Melnick and Nick Severino rounded out the Lions scoring. Senior goaltender Chris Stefanowicz recorded his first shutout of the season with 13 saves, and is unbeaten in his last four stars (3-0-1). During that span the Cabrini College lacrosse commit has posted a .942 save percentage and a 1.25 goals against average.
